For IT, Security, and Observability teams, managing the growing volume and cost of data has become one of the most urgent challenges in today’s AI-driven world. Organizations are generating an explosion of logs, metrics, traces, and events as they scale digital operations and respond to evolving security threats. This growth, coupled with the rising complexity of maintaining compliance, enforcing network and security standards, and managing costs across tools like SIEMs and long-term storage platforms, has created a growing tension between engineering, operations, and finance teams as they strive to make critical business decisions.
While data volumes continue to grow exponentially, budgets aren’t keeping pace. Teams are now forced to make difficult decisions about what data to retain, what to drop, and what to analyze—balancing the need for visibility, compliance, and operational insight against financial constraints.
Today, we’re excited to introduce Cribl’s new FinOps Center—a powerful new capability that brings financial intelligence to your telemetry data. Cribl’s FinOps Center delivers end-to-end visibility across your data lifecycle: from network and security log transformation to metrics and traces, collected, searched, and stored within the Cribl platform. By giving teams shared insight into data volume, value, and cost, Cribl bridges the gap between observability, security, and financial accountability—enabling smarter and more actionable decisions.

Spot changes or identify trends in spend
With Cribl, you already have the ability to filter and transform your data, making it simple for teams to standardize data models, and only send the most important data to expensive third-party tooling. With FinOps Center, you now can track trends in your traffic. For example, you can spot where ingest has spiked on a specific worker group, or if configuration changes on a network device is causing dropped traffic across your network.
Understanding your usage
From the “Per Product Consumption” tab, you can dive deep into your usage across all Cribl products. Easily identify which worker groups are ingesting the most data, keep track of new datasets in Lake, and monitor trends in your teams usage of Search.

Custom time windows let you quickly drill down into the details. Identify major trends in your usage from the 30-day window sparkline, or dig deeper into your daily or weekly usage with custom time windows. Now, you can easily pinpoint, down to the day, when standard operational changes caused performance issues, if a new bug introduced large volumes of traces, or once storage has stabilized after a long-term migration to the cloud.
Cribl’s dedication to transparency
Visibility and transparency are at the heart of Cribl’s business. We introduced Cribl Credits to ensure customers only pay for what they use, and FinOps Center is a continuation of our commitment. In some usage-based pricing models, it may feel like you need a PhD to decipher where exactly your money went, but FinOps Center makes pricing unambiguous, with visibility that makes it easy to answer all your pricing questions. Track changes in monthly spend, or drill down into the details on a daily or weekly basis for reporting and analysis.
We’ve added new visibility into renewals, so sales teams, account owners, and administrators can easily understand how their Cribl Credits are being used throughout a term. And, if refunds are ever due, or credits are rolled over, you’ll be able to easily spot these events from the Usage Overview, ensuring all teams have the tools to answer questions about their spend.
In closing
Cribl’s FinOps Center gives your team the tools to better understand and control your data. Whether you’re tracking changes in credit consumption, pinpointing high-volume worker groups, or reviewing how usage patterns have shifted over time, FinOps Center brings together all of that insight in one single place, making it easier than ever for teams to collaborate.
FinOps Center is built to support how IT, Security, and Observability teams already work today; with clear, accessible reporting, visibility into usage across all of your teams, and flexible time windows to explore patterns and anomalies, you get the context needed to make confident decisions—without digging through multiple tools or spreadsheets. It’s a step toward treating your telemetry data like the strategic asset it is, not just another item to manage, and line on a ledger. And, as your data grows, FinOps Center gives you the tools to ensure you have a strategy that scales with you—without ever trading off performance, compliance, or cost.
