Scope
Cribl, Inc. (“Cribl” or “we” or “us”) has prepared this Cookie Policy (the “Policy”) to describe the information we collect by automated means through the use of information gathering tools, such as cookies and web beacons, on our websites that display or link to this Privacy Policy (the “Sites”) and in the provisioning of the Subscription Services. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy shall have the same meanings as set forth in the Privacy Policy.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information or text that are issued to your computer when you visit certain websites and are used to store or track information about your use of the site. We use both session-based and persistent-based cookies. Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser deletes them or until they expire.
Cookies may either be first party cookies (placed by us) or third-party cookies (placed by third parties). Our use of cookies generally falls into one of the categories below:
Strictly Necessary Cookies | Strictly necessary cookies enable core functionality. We may use strictly necessary cookies, for example, to authenticate your access to various areas of our Sites. These cookies cannot be disabled. Without them, you may not be able to access the full functionality of one of our Sites, or we may be unable to fulfill your requests. |
Performance Cookies | We may use cookies to assess the performance of our Subscription Services and, as part of our analytic practices, to help us understand how you use the Subscription Services. |
Functional Cookies | Functional cookies allow us to enhance your browsing experience and tailor content to your preferences, including, for example, identifying you when you sign into Cribl or keeping track of your specified preferences, interests, or past items viewed on the Sites. |
Targeting Cookies | Cribl or third parties may issue targeting cookies through the Sites to serve ads that are relevant to your interests based on your browsing activities. Targeting cookies can be used by third parties to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. |
Web Beacons
Web beacons (also known as internet tags, pixel tags, and clear GIFs) are tiny electronic images with a unique identifier that may be included on our Sites for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Sites and the Subscription Services, and to monitor how many visitors view our Sites.
Other Identifiers
We may also collect analytics data or use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our Sites. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit, your use of third-party applications, your IP address, and other information that assists us in analyzing and improving our Sites.
In the case of Google, you can view opt-out options for Google Analytics by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Your Choices
When you visit our Sites, depending on where you are located, we may show you a notice which tells you how and why we use certain cookies and provide you the ability to opt out of certain cookie use (other than strictly necessary cookies to provide our Sites). If the notice does not appear, you may indicate certain preferences by visiting Cookie Settings. Please note that without certain cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of our Site.
You can stop cookies being downloaded to your computer by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. Most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, be notified when you receive a new cookie, and disable existing cookies. You can find out how to do this for your particular browser by clicking “help” on your browser’s menu or by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org.
The third-party advertising partners with which we work may be members of the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance.
