Core and Advanced are back. Meet Expert.
Core and Advanced are back, and they're just as good as they were last year — real instructors, real scenarios, real coffee. But this year, we added a third path for the people who finished last year's Advanced track and immediately asked, "okay, what's next?"
That's Cribl Expert. More on that in a second, because it deserves its own moment.
Here's the lineup:
Cribl Core — The Foundation Builder New to Cribl, or want to make sure your fundamentals are solid instead of "I watched a webinar once" solid? This is your track. You'll work through data onboarding, routing, and reduction, while also digging in on visualizing that data — the stuff that makes everything else possible. Finish the day with your Practical Data Skills - Core badge and a real head start.
Cribl Advanced — The Level-Upper Already comfortable in the platform and ready to get into the weeds? Advanced covers complex data formatting, enrichment and lookup tables, sensitive data handling, and powering investigations — the sophisticated stuff that separates "I use Cribl" from "I make Cribl work for me." You'll walk away with the Practical Data Skills - Advanced badge.

Cribl Expert isn't a classroom. It's hands-on, no net.
Core and Advanced are still structured, instructor-led training. You're in a room, someone's teaching, you're following along and getting hands-on when it counts. Expert runs differently. It's built for people who already have solid, hands-on experience running Cribl in the real world — this isn't the place to learn the basics on the fly.
You'll get dropped into broken, real-world environments — multi-product, high-pressure, genuinely messy — with little to no guidance. No slide deck walking you through the fix. No instructor holding your hand to the answer. You figure it out. Then you sit down with your peers — and Cribl instructors/experts guiding the conversation — in a roundtable to talk through what you did, why you did it, and what you'd try differently next time.
That's the whole model: work through the problem, then talk it out together.
So let's be direct about who this is for: it's built around conversation and sharing your thinking out loud, not sitting back and taking notes. If that kind of open, peer-to-peer discussion isn't your thing, this isn't your track — and that's ok. Core and Advanced will still make you better, and there's real value in structured, instructor-led learning where you can ask questions as you go. But Expert is built for people who want to dig into real problems alongside their peers, with Cribl pros right there to guide the conversation.
