This community addendum applies to your use of certain Cribl’s Products that are community-based, specifically, Cribl’s website, the Cribl Pack Dispensary, Cribl Community, and Cribl Curious (“Community Products”).

This community addendum supplements the Cribl’s Terms of Service, which are available at https://cribl.io/legal/terms. In the event of a conflict between this community addendum and the Terms of Service, the terms and conditions of the Terms of Service shall control unless specifically superseded by this community addendum.

2. Requirements.

You may use Community Products only if you create an Cribl Community account when required by Cribl and, in all cases, are at least thirteen years old and comply with the Terms of Service and this community addendum. You may not use a Community Product if Cribl has informed you that you may not use that Community Product.

3. Account.

To create a Cribl Community account you must provide your name, a valid email address, a secure password, and certain other account-related information. You must protect your account, keep your account information up to date, and keep your account password secret.

You are responsible for all content posted and action taken using your Cribl Community account until you either close your account or notify Cribl that your account has been compromised. You must notify Cribl immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable Use.

You must use all Community Products subject to Cribl’s Community Code of Conduct, which is available at https://cribl.io/cribl-community-code-of-conduct/ and incorporated by reference into this community addendum. Cribl may change Cribl’s Community Code of Conduct after providing notice of the website of the change; changes to Cribl’s Community Code of Conduct become effective as provided in the notice. Your use of Community Products will be subject to Cribl’s Community Code of Conduct in effect on the day you use the given Community Product.

5. Content Limitations.

You cannot post to any Community Product any content that you do not own, or otherwise have the right to post, unless you have the permission of the owner of that content. You cannot post any content to any Community Product that violates the intellectual property rights of any third party, violates any person’s legally protected privacy rights, breaches any agreements you have with any third party, or that violates any applicable law.

You cannot post to any Community Product any content that suggests or implies that the content is sponsored or approved by Cribl.

You cannot post to any Community Product any content that contains malicious computer code, including without limitation computer viruses or spyware.

6. Content Rights

Cribl reserves all rights to Cribl Products, including without limitation Cloud Products and Community Products. Cribl’s rights include without limitation Cribl’s patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property rights, as well as all rights licensed to Cribl.

You grant Cribl the right to copy, publish, demonstrate, perform, and analyze content you post to any Community Product without notice, further consent from you, or payment of any kind. You further grant to Cribl the unrestricted right to use for any purpose any feedback and other suggestions you may provide without notice, further consent from you, or payment of any kind.

You remain responsible for all content you submit to Community Products and, as between you and Cribl, retain all remaining rights to such content. You may post content to Community Products with licenses such as the Creative Commons license, but you must ensure that all such content remains subject to Cribl’s rights as provided in this community addendum.

Cribl may remove any content you post to a Community Product for any reason without notice or consent from you, including without limitation at your request and in response to a request to take down your content due to copyright infringement. Except as to Cribl’s use of your feedback, Cribl’s rights to your content end upon the removal of the content from all Community Products.

7. Responsibilities

NOTWITHSTANDING THE LIABILITY LIMITS IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE, THE MAXIMUM CUMULATIVE LIABILITY UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY RELATED TO YOUR USE OF COMMUNITY PRODUCTS, AND ANY CONTENT PROVIDED TO COMMUNITY PRODUCTS BY YOU OR ANYONE ELSE, IS LIMITED TO $50.

You will indemnify Cribl for damages awarded against Cribl from a third-party claim arising from your breach of this community addendum subject to the same indemnification procedure provided in Cribl’s Terms of Service where you are the indemnifying party.

8. Enforcement.

Cribl may investigate and take any action it determines to be appropriate to address violations of Cribl’s Terms of Service or this community addendum, including without limitation changing content, removing content, restricting any account, suspending any account, deleting any account, and notifying and cooperating with law enforcement or other government authorities.

If you believe Cribl or any user of any Community Product has submitted content in violation of these terms, please contact Cribl immediately at community-moderators@cribl.io.

9. Ending the Agreement.

You and Cribl can end this community addendum at any time for any reason by providing written notice to the other party as to which Community Product or Community Products the notice relates. If you or Cribl deactivates your account, this community addendum shall also end as to the Community Products related to your account.

All obligations and rights in Section 6, Section 7, and Section 8 survive the end of this community addendum.
