International Women’s Day is a day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all around the world. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.
At Cribl, we’re dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion every day, and to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, we are pleased to share stories from some of the amazing Women of Cribl and discuss what drives them to do their best work. We’re hiring in every position, so come join us!
August 2021, Senior Payroll Manager
The people and culture at Cribl are amazing! I have the pleasure of working with incredibly talented people who accomplish great things and have remained humble, kind, and have a great sense of humor.
Remember that it’s okay to stop and take care of yourself from time to time.
It’s a constantly evolving process as what works today, doesn’t always work tomorrow. I find a set schedule generally helps provide a boundary between work and life.
Ruth Chang, formerly of Discord – Ruth is an amazingly humble leader who built an amazing team, accomplished a lot of great things, and has always given great advice. I strive for the day I’ll have 1/10 of Ruth’s negotiation skills.
Dorene Fong, Robert Half Accountemps – Dorene is a legend in the industry and has worked hard to build a successful career with integrity. Her incredible perseverance and determination are inspirational and she’s always helped give me that extra push forward over the years.
I became a Criblanian on February 1st, 2021 as Senior IT Support Engineer.
Knowledge sharing here has been a two-way street. Not only do I see and feel my experiences being implemented in my department’s decisions but I am also able to learn and expand my knowledge.
You only live once, that’s the motto – YOLO!
I will be honest in saying I did not have one until I started working remotely alongside COVID. Being my best self is the best way I have learned to balance. I gauge it by my happiness. I should be happy going into work, happy going on a run, happy hanging with my family and close friends. If I’m not happy with one over the others I ensure that the balance is adjusted right away.
Melody Ehsani. Melody Ehsani is an LA-born Iranian Designer and Entrepreneur. I’d been a fan of hers since MySpace days (around 2009) lol. I was lucky to meet my mentor briefly in her NYC Store in 2019 and was not disappointed. Being so positive, honest, and open-minded to the people she meets and respectful to the people (cultures) she has been influenced by. She has shown me to unapologetically be myself and that being kind to others as well as putting positivity and light into what you do and who you meet will bring rewards in life in more ways than one.
August 2021 – Director of Data and Analytics
The people! Smart, fun, and motivated team players across the company.
Do or do not, there is no try.
Rituals that help set boundaries! Can’t start work without my coffee cup and the moment I close my laptop it stays closed until the next day (99% of the time 😅)
Wonderful women leaders I work with at every company. They are #GOALS.
I joined Cribl exactly 9 weeks ago as an Events Marketing Specialist!
The incredible people that I get to work with!
There is always something to be grateful for and never mistake kindness for weakness.
During the pandemic, I started forcing myself to go on walks at the end of every work day. It’s helped a lot to have that dedicated time to unwind and shift from work mode to “me time.”
I’d have to say, my mom! She is the most caring and selfless person I’ve ever met. I believe that my curious and empathetic personality came from her which has benefitted my social and professional relationships.
July 2021, Principal Product Manager for Cribl LogStream
My absolute favorite thing about Cribl is our focus on solving customer problems. And, the people! I have never met a friendlier set of people working together to build something awesome
Keep it simple.
I stay away from my desk until the work day begins and force myself to not work after work hours. There are always exceptions, but it mostly works!
My mom. I have seldom seen her lose her cool no matter the situation and it helps keep things under control.
