Observability pipeline vendor Cribl today launched LogStream Cloud Enterprise Edition. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) application allows users to control how logging is routed from a single, centralized location, while keeping the data plane on premises or in the cloud.
Founded in 2017, the vendor initially launched LogStream as an on-premises service that enabled enterprises to feed data from existing logging agents into analytics platforms from Slunk or Datadog.
“It really connects things that weren’t originally intended to be connected. It helps you take data that’s already being delivered to an existing logging solution, or an existing time-series database, or an existing monitoring tool and helps you repurpose that data for multiple users,” Cribl CEO Clint Sharp explained, in an earlier interview.
