A common trope in cybersecurity marketing is that the threat landscape is ever evolving and security teams must race to stay ahead. Despite its usefulness for fear mongering, this vague observation isn’t helpful. How are things evolving? Where should I race to? The answers to these questions are subjective, but one place I’ve seen an overwhelming consensus from security teams is the need for better management of security data. CrowdStrike, one of Cribl’s key partners, recognized this need by awarding Cribl its 2023 CrowdStrike Ecosystem Innovator of the Year.
This award, was announced today at CrowdStrike Fal.Con 2023, highlights Cribl’s groundbreaking work in driving greater interoperability and eradicating the pervasive issue of cybersecurity data silos.
In April of this year, Cribl worked with CrowdStrike to launch CrowdStream as part of CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform. CrowdStream allows users to seamlessly get any data type into the Falcon platform, freeing up security teams to spend more time actively hunting threats and giving them more control over their data.
The objective here is twofold – to manage security data more effectively by eliminating barriers between different data silos, and to ingest data from diverse sources without obstacles. This, in turn, equips enterprises to combat cyber threats with greater scope and insight.
We couldn’t have done this work without the tireless support from CrowdStrike. At each step in CrowdStream’s development, CrowdStrike leadership worked with Cribl to remove barriers and allocate necessary resources to ensure a successful roll-out.
Moreover, CrowdStrike’s Accelerate Partner Program stands as a beacon of collaboration and expertise in the industry, offering exceptional support and resources to partners who are at the forefront of combating advanced cyber adversaries.
While the team is thrilled to receive this recognition from CrowdStrike, Cribl is just getting started. Whether we’re implementing OCSF, supporting OpenTelemetry, or building a world class search experience, Cribl’s mission is to unlock the value of all security and observability data. The data needs of today’s IT and security professionals have been left unaddressed for too long. I see that as our opportunity in today’s market, and I invite you to join us.
