Without collaborations between organizations, the tech industry wouldn’t be where it is today. Customer expectations and needs don’t exist in a silo. They need their tools to work together to solve problems and deliver value regardless of the vendor. With data growth at a 28% CAGR and cybersecurity threats on the rise, customers need their entire suite of tools working for them in a cohesive manner.

That sentiment is why we recently signed a three-year strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world’s leading cloud computing platforms. This collaboration marks a significant milestone as we journey to deepen our relationship with AWS. With the common goal of delivering innovation for customers to manage their IT and Security data, we’re excited about what the future holds.

So, what exactly does this collaboration mean for customers? Let’s dive in:

  • Improved Customer Experience: Expanded resources allow for deeper customer relationships and a wider audience with global expansion in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Simplified Transactions: AWS’s scalable infrastructure further accelerates the purchasing process with the AWS marketplace. Customers can get up and running faster and with fewer hoops.
  • Accelerated Time-to-Value: We’ll be able to accelerate our product development cycle and bring new features and innovations to market faster than ever before. So, customers will benefit from steady updates and improvements to our solutions.

How Cribl’s Suite of Products Unlock a Next-generation Data Strategy

The strategic collaboration agreement between Cribl and Amazon Web Services opens up many opportunities for customers, especially regarding access to innovative data management tools. This ensures that AWS customers continue to have access to some of the most advanced tools in the market to streamline their data management strategy. Let’s look into how this collaboration enhances the suite of tools available to customers and the benefits these bring.

  • Cribl Stream is the world’s leading observability pipeline for real-time processing of logs, metrics, traces, and IT and security data that enables teams to collect the data they want, shape the data in the formats they need, route the data wherever they want it to go, and replay data on-demand; thereby enabling customers to observe more and spend less.
  • Cribl Edge is an intelligent, highly scalable edge-based data collection system for logs, metrics, and application data. Combined with automatic log discovery and metrics production, Cribl Edge is designed to support today’s modern distributed microservice architectures. Cribl Edge is centrally managed, configured, and controlled for easy expansion and low cost of ownership. Cribl Edge allows IT, SRE/DevOps, and SecOps teams to avoid vendor lock-in.
  • Cribl Search delivers next-generation search-in-place technology, empowering users to explore, discover, and analyze previously impossible data – directly at its source, across any cloud, even data locked behind APIs. Effortlessly sift through data in major object stores like Amazon S3 and Amazon Security Lake, and enrich your insights by querying dozens of live API endpoints from various SaaS providers. The power of Cribl Search lies in its strategic approach: forward only the critical data to your systems of analysis, thus avoiding the cost of expensive storage.

These products, available on the AWS Marketplace, are designed to work seamlessly within the AWS ecosystem, providing customers with interoperability, scalability, and accelerated time to value. They collectively contribute to improved operational efficiency and ease of use, addressing the critical needs of today’s data-driven businesses.

Integration Benefits with Cribl and AWS

Cribl is not just another AWS partner; it’s distinguished by being an AWS Data and Analytics Competency partner and an AWS Security Competency partner. This dual competency is a testament to Cribl’s expertise in both domains, giving customers confidence in the solutions offered.

As a launch partner with Amazon Security Lake, Cribl enables customers to up-level their centralized solution for handling surging security data volumes in the cloud. By leveraging Cribl Stream and Cribl Search, customers can easily standardize data in the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) format, streamline third-party data ingestion, replay the data as needed, and search data at rest. This capability is crucial for comprehensive security data management, allowing for efficient data search at rest and forwarding only the critical data to analysis systems.

Moreover, our recent announcement that Cribl Edge is available as a Cribl Edge for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) Add-On simplifies the sharing of EKS data between security and operations teams, optimizes data collection, and routes it to multiple destinations. This offering enhances the collaboration and efficiency of teams working in complex cloud environments.

Wrap up

The strategic collaboration between Cribl and AWS is a path to the future of data management in the cloud. By providing access to cutting-edge tools like Cribl Stream, Cribl Edge, and Cribl Search with deep integrations with AWS, we’re setting a new standard for operational efficiency, security, and ease of use in cloud data management. This means AWS customers can have the right tools and assurance of continuous innovation and support in their data management strategy.
